Laser liposuctions have been so disappointing and patients have come to get the tumescent lipo with the smaller cannulas to fix many of the problems from laser lipos.. They are the cheapest lipos and for good reason. To be fair, there are some laser docs who can do a decent job of liposuction.
You certainly can. Please select a liposuction expert.Kenneth Hughes, MDBeverly Hills, CA.....................
Thank you for your question and I am sorry you are disappointed with your current results. Traditional liposuction can be safely performed after smart/laser liposuction but results are dependent on surgeon experience and technique. Seek out an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to maximize your outcome.
It generally requires 3-4 months to achieve the final outcome following liposuction. At 2 weeks there is typically still residual swelling from the procedure with the use of any technique. It would be best to consult a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery to evaluate your concerns and assess the possibility of a revision after enough time has transpired for healing.
Yes. You definitely can as long as you have more fat to be removed. Unfortunately, I see patients all the time who have had Smart Lipo or other forms of Laser Lipo with horrible results or no significant change at all. Smart Lipo/Laser Liposuction is just one more machine that can be used for liposuction. The biggest problem I see with Laser Lipo patients is that they frequently have a lot of scar tissue and a lot of lumps and dents. This is very difficult to fix due to the scar tissue. The most important thing with Liposuction is to get it right the first time! Every time you have liposuction, you get scar tissue, and in my experience, you get a lot more with Smart/Laser Lipo! This makes each additional liposuction procedure harder. Definitely find a Plastic Surgeon who specializes in Liposuction and Liposuction Revisions. DiscoverTheBeauty.com
Yes, you can have traditional liposuction after "smart" liposuction. However, please wait 4 - 6 months. Also, visit at least two board-certified plastic surgeons who are experienced in liposuction before going ahead. Ask to see before and after photos during your consultation. Best of luck.
Yes, it is certainly possible to have traditional liposuction after laser assisted liposuction. However, would wait for approximately 6 months before undergoing another procedure.
Yes, you can have traditional lipo after a smart lipo procedure, but I would suggest you wait 4-6 months until the swelling subsides from your previous procedure.
The short answer is "Probably, but not yet."You are still very early in the healing with quite a bit of swelling and your final result is months away. If after that amount of time you still have excess fat, then you can look at more liposuction, or other procedures that might help. It is not uncommon for us to see someone who has had some minimal suction under local and not get much result that we can improve, but we also see the laser lipo overdone with skin scarring that is very difficult to make better.Make sure you are seeing a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery if your current physician is not.
I don't think there is a typical correction. The amount of fat you have in your arms and the quality of your skin will determine how much of an improvement you can expect. Make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to find out if your goals are...
Liposuction by itself does not cause a burn. However, devices used in conjunction with liposuction such as vaser or laser devices can cause a burn if used incorrectly. These devices use heat in order to try to melt fat and tighten skin. If used too superficially or too...
Bruising after liposuction typically lasts for about one to two weeks. Some patients heal quicker, some take longer. Swelling following liposuction usually takes many months to completely resolve.
