My implants are 35 yrs. Old.. we’re placed on front of muscle. I need removal of ruptured implant, replacement with lift. The surgeon says it must be done in 2 stages 6 months apart to prevent nipples from dieting. I’m not sure what to do.
Answer: Breast lift A lift with implant can be done in one or two stages. Performing in two stages may reduce the risk of losing circulation to your nipple. I sometimes do this in stages as well. Safer and you ultimately end up with a nicer result in certain cases.. in your case I don’t know because you haven’t shown pix

Answer: Removal Listen to your surgeon. Removing implants, replacing implants, and doing the lift at the same time may compromise the blood flow to your nipples too much and you could loose some or all of your nipples. Your surgeon has examined you and knows how much actual breast tissue is present behind your nipples. The safest solution is to the what is needed in two procedures to give best blood flow to your nipples.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. However, I recommend doing explantation and lift at the same time. The technique I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Ruptured implant in front of muscle, having removal new implants and lift. Done in 2 stages 6 months apart? Hello @Africa10, thank you for your question. It really depends on the surgical technique of the specialist. However, not only the implants need to be removed but the capsules surrounding the prosthesis as well. it would be necessary to carry out a preventive biopsy on each capsule. I link to a video about asymmetry in rupture implant that will shed some more light. For more information and recommendations, it is prudent to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Implant removal Dear Africa10, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to get implant removal and placement of new implants and breast lift at the same time. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
