Massage after lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid - what to expect?

Thank you for your question.  Aggressive rubbing after placement of HA will result in some spread of the material throughout your lips, and may cause some increased swelling, but its unlikely to materially effect your outcome.  Wait approximately 10-14 days to assess your results, you will likely be pleased once your swelling has resolved and your tissues have relaxed.  

I do not believe you cause significant damage by massaging your lips after having them injected with filler.  I would let the swelling subside and look at the results 10 days after injections to judge.  You can have additional filler placed at that time if there is a concern.  I would not worry that you have caused damage to your lips. I hope this helps.
