Lip fillers such as restylane, juvederm, belotero are all hyaluronic acid fillers and last about 3-6 months in the lips. Lip implants are permanent and do well . Fat injections are very unpredictable but last 3-12 months and can get lumpy as they dissipate. Silicone injections get horribly lumpy 2-4 yrs later and I would avoid them. sincerely,dr hansen
Thank you for your question. Most of today's lip fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, such as juvederm and restylane. Lasting anywhere from 3-6 months, these fillers can predictably add volume to the lips, to leave a noticeable and natural improvement. These fillers are also very safe to use as there is medication available to dissolve it if necessary.
Dear alicepadinsky,In general, the lip fillers we use are made up of hyaluronic acidI like to use Juvederm Ultra which gives a nice pouty look that is naturalIt is soft so it feels natural as wellWhen you are ready, look at some before and after photos and choose a specialist who can address all of your concernsBest,Dr. Nima
The most common lip fillers that we use (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero) are all hyaluronic acid (HA). There are other types of fillers, but my personal belief is that HA's are the best and safest that we have on the market right now. The reason being is that your skin is essentially comprised of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Therefore, you are really just putting back what you've lost from age or augmenting what you already have. If you are wondering why no one uses collagen anymore, it is because it does not last very long (4-6 weeks). You can expect HA's in the lip to last about 6-9 months. Additionally, if you change your mind and decide you do not like the result of your lip filling, hyaluronic acid can be melted away by injecting an enzyme to dissolve it immediately.
Hi, most of the newer dermal fillers, used for Lip Augmentation, are made of hyaluronic acid. I prefer Restylane, Restylane Silk and Juvederm for Lip Augmentation when using a dermal filler. We akso use lip implants for a more permenent lip enhancement. Hope this helps.
From an aesthetic point of view, I'd suggest doing the fillers first, because they will change the shape of your lips and therefore might alter the type and placement of the labret. Please be sure your lips are completely healed from the dermal fillers before moving on to the piercing. I'd...
Best case scenario is that the receptionist is poorly trained. Worst case is that the doctor doesn't actually perform alot of lip injections. Lip filling and plumping are essentially the same procedure. The lips are plumped by filling them with hyaluronic acid filler. Hopefully, you have other...
Hi, based upon the attached photos lip augmentation using a dermal filler (I perefer Restylane, restylane Silk or Juvederm) could make the lips more symmetric as well as full and pouty. Hope this helps.
