I was injected with 20U of Btxa in my forehead and 12U of Btxa in my frown lines 7 days ago. First time being injected. Relaxed, my medial eyebrows are lower than they were in my before relaxed photo. My lateral eyebrows appear to be at the same height as pre botox relaxed. I have a heavy brow feeling. A little spock brow when contracting forehead, but not much. Can heavy brow be corrected with adding more Botox to my frown line area, or is the problem heavy brow since it is lower at rest.
Answer: Botox Cosmetic and Muscle Balance Thank you for your question. I'm sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your result. Achieving a good result with Botox injections depends upon maintaining the proper balance between various muscle group In your situation it sounds as if the central portion of the forehead has been relaxed a little bit too much. This has resulted in the descent of your medial eyebrows. On the other hand, the lateral portion of the forehead on each side was treated less, giving you the "spock" appearance you refer to when you raise your eyebrows. It is possible that this can be improved, but it depends upon how much residual muscle activity you have at this time. Additional injection in the medial (glabella) frown line region may help to raise your medial eyebrows slightly. You can more easily correct the elevation of your lateral eyebrows by injecting a small amount of additional Botox in the lateral forehead on each side. However, this will weaken these forehead muscles a bit further, and your lateral brow position may drop a small amount... and this may increase the heaviness that you feel in your brow. I would recommend that you seek evaluation by an experienced Botox injector. Best wishes.

Answer: Unhappy with Botox/Xeomin/Dysport--Add Venus Legacy, Thermage This is tough to answer without pictures. Final results can take 1-2 weeks. A touch-up of Botox may give improvement and venus legacy/thermage treatments can help soften results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Poor outcome following Botox Thank you for sharing your problem. Botox weakened your forehead muscles in some areas, which lowered your brows. Additional Botox could be injected to lower the lateral brow to even it. Injecting the muscle at the brow level might counteract the treated areas and slightly raise the brows. See an experienced physician for consultation. Good luck,

Answer: Forehead and Frown Botox Injection of Botox or other neuromodulators is a delicate procedure which can rarely results in serious problems but can have adverse effects related to the weakening of some muscles and compensatory hyperactivity of the untreated opposing muscles. The goal is generally to weaken the pull-down muscles to let the lifting muscles work unapposed. When too much weakening of the forhead muscles occurs, the brows and areea between the eyebrows often looks heavy, and the outer part of the eyebrows arch because the outer forehead muscles are not weakened, giving the 'spock' look.Returning to your injector will allow them to assess and perhaps make some additional injections to soften the side effects you noted, but it will not allow the muscles that are weakened to return faster. Fortunately, the effect of the Botox does wear off, so over time this will resolve. I would share your concerns with the injector who did your treatment. If he/she is an experienced injector, they may have a temporizing solution to help you now while waiting for the botox injected to wear off.

Answer: I was injected with 20U of Botox in my forehead lines and 12U in my frown lines. HELP please! Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry that your current results have not been what you anticipated. Initially some patients will have this heavy brow feeling as their Botox sets in but this can correct itself as the Botox fully sets in over 2 weeks. If your appearance does not change in the interim, see your injector for an evaluation. The amount of Botox placed into your forehead may have been too great, resulting in dropping of your brow. Hope this helps.
