I had a full tummy tuck with lipo(6 months ago) to my flanks and love my results!!! I do still have fullness it the midesection and upoer abdomen. If i had a full abdomen liposuction would my skin get loose or lose the tightness and firmess that i have? Have any of you done this before? And i am asking honestly have you ever done this and loose skin did occut even if you didnt expect it to? Please be honest with me because i love my results and i DO NOT want to jeprodize them or mess them up
Answer: Liposuction After Tummy Tuck - Will it Cause Loose Skin After? Good tummy tucks tighten the skin between the bottom of the sternum and the pubic area. Residual fat in this area can be safely removed without leading to any loose residual skin. As one goes laterally towards the flanks, most tummy tucks are looser in this area. Here, liposuction after a tummy tuck can, at times, uncover a latent (not previously observed) dog ear leading to the necessity to excise some extra skin laterally, but in my experience, never in the area above the pubic bone.I routinely liposuction the entire abdomen and reliposuction the love handle area at 90 days after an abdominoplasty and correct any latent dog ears. It has been my experience that this 90 day secondary liposuction does not leave any loose skin in the mid abdominal area you refer to. Also, I have performed this two-staged procedure on over 100 patients at this point, and from their post surgery reviews, they are very satisfied with the outcome.

The muscles are tighten when preforming the tummy tuck, it is suggested to use your garment as indicated and also post op massages such as ultra sounds / Endermologie as well. Best of wishes!

Answer: It is common to get liposuction of the upper abdomen after tummy tucks. Liposuction of the upper abdomen is common after a tummy tuck and patients do just fine. If there is any irregularities which is rare, the skin can be tightened up nicely with radiofrequency BodyFX or Fractora.
