I'm 32 years old and have the most annoying neck rolls. Even when I am in really great shape, they are still there. Is there anything I can do to address them?

Answer: #neckRolls The problem is attachment of the skin to the platysma muscle and fat deposition between the attachments. The solution is to lower the hills and raise the valleys i.e. liposuction of the rolls, release the attachments and fat graft as needed into the creases. Positioning the access sites for the cannula where they will be least visible is imperative and release of the lower crease is more difficult because the jaw and collar bone limit angling of the cannula.I hope you realize that this format of posting questions and receiving answers lacks the face to face direct communication required for you to make an informed decision regarding your surgery. My response to your question/post does not represent formal medical advice or constitute a doctor patient relationship. You need to consult with i.e. personally see a board certified plastic surgeon in order to receive a formal evaluation and develop a doctor patient relationship in order to know if this assessment is valid.

Answer: Neck liposuction Dear Shellown, based on your photos, you might be a candidate for a neck liposuction. However, it is hard to tell without an examination. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
