How can I fix my uneven lip after lip filler? (photos)

Thank you for your question and photographs.  I can see from your pictures your area of concern.  Though three days is quite early to assess your results, I would recommend some massaging to soften and improve the asymmetry.  I would also allow a full 2 weeks to pass before judging your results, as this will allow your  swelling to resolve and your true results to be evident. At that point correction can be pursued.

It is common to get swelling after fillers into the lips. It is not normal to have irregularities or severe swelling. If you are unhappy you should speak to your physician and have the area injected with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that reverses the hyaluronic acid filler. For the next injections, consider Restylane Silk with cannula injection, this technique will limit the pain, swelling or bruising after the filler placement. Thanks for the question and photos. Gentle massage can be helpful. Do give it another week or so to let some of the swelling go down. If there is still an asymmetry, contact your physician and he or she may be able to even things out with massaging, a conservative touchup, or dissolving of some of the filler with hyaluronidase. Best regards,Dr. Mehta 

3 days is still pretty early and you may still have some swelling. I would give it 2 weeks. If it is still uneven after that then you can either add more product to try and even things out or use Hyaluronidase to dissolve it. 

Thank you for your question. You can apply cold compresses to the area to help reduce swelling and bruising.  It is common to have some swelling after fillers for lip augmentation which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s before and after treatment as they tend to thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising and swelling. Ideally, you should wait at least a week before you decide whether filler needs to be removed. This is because uneven swelling can make it difficult to assess lip volume. If after a week there is obviously extra filler, hyaluronidase is a quick and effective solution. Massage is generally not a good way to redistribute filler. 

I would suggest waiting another week as sometimes the upper lip can swell more than the lower also some light massage. If you are still unhappy with the results, I would go back to the doctor who performed the injections and perhaps ask for a little bit of a touch up to fill in the one area that has less Juvederm on your right side to even out.

I do see the area of concern, but I suggest giving it some more time.  Wait another week and see your doctor again.  At that point, you can adjust, if necessary.  You can try gentle massage in the meantime, but don't be aggressive!
