I suggest posting photos and/or speaking to your physician about reversing the filler with hyaluronidase. Massage typically doesn't help improve this. Best, Dr. Emer.
Massage can sometimes help smooth out any clumps or bumps of filler, but it will not make the filler go away. If the Juvederm was injected too superficially and you see a bluish discoloration (Tyndall Effect) then the best thing to do is have it dissolved with some Hyaluronidase. This is a very simple process in the right hands. Best of luck.
Hi WWM. Generally, Juvederm will not dissolve even if you message it. If you are very unhappy with your injections, consider asking your injector or a different one to provide Hyaluronidase injections to remove the Juvederm. This will give you relieve within a day.
Thank you for your question. Massaging the area may definitely work to improve your JVD placement, but if its already been several weeks, and you haven't seen any changes, or the JVD has led to nodules, it would be best to have these areas injected with hyaluronidase, a medicine used to dissolve JVD. Speak with your injector to discuss your options based on the timing of your injection.
I generally ask patients to not massage filler in the first 2 weeks. Sometimes the initial swelling may seem like there is too much or too superficial placement only to find that it is perfect once it "settles in". If the filler has been there awhile and you like it then massage will not make it go away faster. If you don't like it then a touch up (either with an enzyme injected with a tiny needle to reduce the filler or a small additional amount of filler to blend) is warranted. Your medical injector should be able to help you with deciding the best thing to do to get you the results you want.
No amount of rubbing is going to remove poorly placed Juvederm. If it is noticeable, with lumps or blue tint, erase it with the enzyme. It is very easy to do.
While massaging will soften any bumps, it will not dissolve the Juvederm. If you do not like the look, or is too full, see your injector and have it reversed.
Yes. You are waay too young for a cosmetic procedure. Your face is changing and there really is not a cosmetic procedure that is appropriate for a 14 year old.
These need a combination approach with lasers, radiofrequency tightening and fillers. Often Sculptra is also used to tighten and lift. Please see a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in facial rejuvenation for an evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
Antibiotic creams should pose no issue for dermal fillers. Three days out should be fine to apply it around your lips.
