Can I get better results with a revision? (Photo)

Question

Aloha, i had a lollipop lift with 300cc smooth round sientra implants. After surgery the right areola felt puffy & painful, like it was going to pop off. The right breast had lots of bruising & never fully dropped. My left felt amazing after surgery but appears to have bottomed out already. The surgery was one year ago. I’m an active 39yr old (hence the smaller size for sports). Do you think a revision would help? Or am I just destined to be totally asymmetrical? Thanks :)

breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery.Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size.While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.

The lower breast may be be able to be tightened with an inferior incision under local anesthesia in the office.  An examination is needed to be sure.

Since you are a year out, then any revision work should be safer in my opinion.  I don't think you need to rush back into a revision surgery, but you should address your concerns with your surgeon and keep your options open.  I recommend you work with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
