Can one climb steps? Can one use indian style toilet? Can one gargle with water while brushing? Can one flare ones nostrils or make any movement of the nose? Can one practice yogic breathing techniques?(closing alternate nostrils) Can one use saline nasal irrigation using a neti pot and blow the nose after to remove all the water. Can one yawn or cough? Can one pick ones nose? How long is the septum vulnerable after surgery? What activities(examples)can cause it to bend and undo the surgery?

Hi there! After septoplasty, you can certainly walk and move around. You want to restrict bending or straining including lifting anything heavier than 10 lbs for 2 weeks. Noseblowing or picking should be avoided during that time. Exercise should be limited to nothing that will raise the blood pressure or heart rate to high levels. You should use antibiotic ointment like mupirocin and saline sprays to reduce crusting. Hope that answers some of your questions!
