Does anyone have any good resources about Transgender (mtf) body contouring/fat transfer surgeries?

I am having trouble finding a good resource on transgender Mtf body contouring and fat transfer. Does anyone know of a resource? I'm curious about what can really be achieved through this process and the costs associated with it. Can the view from the back change substantially from male to female? Would it be better to gain weight prior to this surgery? Is there any advice?

Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Fat transfer with liposuction and reshaping can be very effective in transgender patients.  Waistline contouring liposuction of your abdomen, flanks,
and lower back and fat grafting to your buttocks can be performed to provide an improved hourglass shape.  This can greatly
improve your overall shape with a smaller waist.  Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.  The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

I don't know of any official resources for this, but ask around and you will likely find some plastic surgeons that perform this regularly. The male pelvis is a bit wider, but I have found that with liposuction of the flanks/waist and fat transfer to the buttocks/hips a more curvy, less masculine figure can be obtained. In person consultation would be needed to assess if you are a good candidate for this type of surgery.
