I've been to Dr. Kiwanuka twice now - once for baby botox and more recently, for cheek fillers. I had never gotten botox before and Dr. Kiwanuka did a wonderful job answering any questions or concerns that I had. She was personable, kind, and very knowledgeable. The procedure was quick and pain-free, and I was very pleased with the results, which lasted for over 6 months. I decided to return for cheek fillers a few months ago, in hopes of reducing smile lines on my face, and have been very happy with the results, once again. Unlike some other doctors, Dr. Kiwanuka makes sure that her patients look natural and don't overdo any unnecessary procedures. I chose Dr. K to do my top surgery because I was frankly overwhelmed by the process but the team at Breast Surgery group were absolutely experts. They respected my name even when I changed it post surgery, using the correct pronouns. Dr. K is very friendly and knowledgeable so I felt confident that she could deliver the results I wanted. Dr. Kiwanuka is a great option for top surgery/gender affirming care. She will answer any and all your questions, she has a very strong grasp on the technical aspects of surgery and what that will result in during recovery. Also she has really helped me understand what is happening under my skin as my nerves heal and regrow.
