Amazing experience. Took time to discuss options and did not push or try to sell any procedures. Made a plan to best meet my goals that were in my budget. She demonstrated knowledge and empathy, leaving me feeling comfortable and confident in the procedure.
My experience with Dr K was incredible. I am 6 months post-op now, and her and her team were amazing throughout the entire process — always kind and fast to respond. My reduction looks far better than I ever could have imagined, and I feel so happy and confident in my results. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reduction
Dr K. really listened to my expectations. I was afraid going in to my breast reduction that the surgeon would think they knew what I wanted for my results. Dr K considered my goals and lifestyle and my results are amazing. I'm running with one sports bra! Life changing. Thank you.
I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Dr. Elizabeth Kiwanuka! From start to finish, Dr. Kiwanuka was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring about my needs. She took the time to fully understand my goals and worked tirelessly to ensure I was completely satisfied every step of the way. The attention to detail was exceptional, and the results exceeded my expectations in every way. What truly sets her apart is her commitment to client satisfaction—it's not just about completing the job; it's about delivering quality work while making sure the client feels valued throughout the process. I felt supported and well-informed at every stage, which made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. If you’re looking for top-notch service from someone who genuinely cares about your needs and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Dr. Elizabeth Kiwanuka. You won’t be disappointed
I've been to Dr. Kiwanuka twice now - once for baby botox and more recently, for cheek fillers. I had never gotten botox before and Dr. Kiwanuka did a wonderful job answering any questions or concerns that I had. She was personable, kind, and very knowledgeable. The procedure was quick and pain-free, and I was very pleased with the results, which lasted for over 6 months. I decided to return for cheek fillers a few months ago, in hopes of reducing smile lines on my face, and have been very happy with the results, once again. Unlike some other doctors, Dr. Kiwanuka makes sure that her patients look natural and don't overdo any unnecessary procedures. I highly trust her and would recommend her to all of my friends looking for natural beauty enhancements in NYC.
I chose Dr. K to do my top surgery because I was frankly overwhelmed by the process but the team at Breast Surgery group were absolutely experts. They respected my name even when I changed it post surgery, using the correct pronouns. Dr. K is very friendly and knowledgeable so I felt confident that she could deliver the results I wanted. My results went above and beyond as I have slowly regained feeling in my nipples, something I wasn’t sure I’d ever have again. The team is easy to reach and provided me with an abundance of guides, information and resources. With the help of my mental health provider (and a template letter from Dr.K’s team) my scheduling was quick and easy.
A little over 6 months ago, I completed top surgery with Dr. Kiwanuka and her team. It was honestly a fantastic experience. I was super nervous and worried about costs, but her whole team were kind, considerate, and professional and a huge help navigating insurance and getting reference letters from doctors. It was easy to schedule and the turnaround time was much faster than with other doctors I met with. Day of surgery was also great. Everyone was top notch. Follow up was clear. There were no issues with the surgery itself, and the results have been life changing. Really happy I was able to have my top surgery with Dr. Kiwanuka.
Dr Kiwanuka and her entire team were a dream to work with. I felt listened to and respected throughout the entire process. Since I was interested in a gender affirming radical breast reduction (vs top surgery), I knew I needed to find someone who would work with me on every step of the process to help me realize the goal I had in my head. Dr Kiwanuka asked lots of questions, encouraged me to bring in photos to discuss what I needed to achieve in surgery (sensory, dysphoria, aesthetics, etc). I've never felt so listened to and understood by a medical professional, and it was truly a positive experience from the get-go. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Kiwanuka and her team. You will be in such good hands.
Dr. Kiwanuka is a great option for top surgery/gender affirming care. She will answer any and all your questions, she has a very strong grasp on the technical aspects of surgery and what that will result in during recovery. Also she has really helped me understand what is happening under my skin as my nerves heal and regrow.
I had periareolar top surgery with Dr. Kiwanuka. Dr. Kiwanuka and her team are very thorough, helpful, and easy to communicate with. I felt very reassured and prepared under their care. Dr. Kiwanuka also has a very reassuring medical background including research directly related to wound healing and tissue repair/engineering. She/her office use a Rapid Recovery protocol, including nerve block, which was another factor in why I went to her for surgery as I was very nervous about being prescribed any major pain medication. Between the nerve block and over-the-counter pain medication, I felt 0 pain-- it was/is very bizarre! I was a little sore and at times could feel my chest getting sensation back, but never felt more than discomfort. I'm currently five days post-op and stopped taking pain medication on day 4, for reference. I highly recommend Dr. Kiwanuka!
Choosing an implant that slightly exceeds your breast base width (BWD) can help achieve the curvy, filled-out appearance you’re aiming for. Here are some important points to consider regarding your choice: Width and Frame Coverage: Selecting a 360cc moderate implant with a width of 12.75 cm when your BWD is 12.5 cm is a good approach. Implants that are wider than your BWD can enhance your side profile and provide the fullness you desire. This can help create that curvy look you’re aiming for. Consideration of Projection: While width is crucial for achieving the right coverage, the projection of the implant also plays a role in how it will look on your frame. Moderate projection can help maintain a natural contour while still offering some side fullness. Potential for Side Boob: If having some side boob is important to you, choosing an implant that fits your frame can help achieve that look. However, it’s essential to work closely with your surgeon to ensure that the implant’s placement aligns with your desired aesthetic. Consultation and Fit: During your consultation, discuss your goals with your surgeon and bring any visual references. Trying on sizers can give you a better idea of how the chosen implant will fit your frame and achieve the desired appearance. Individual Anatomy: Remember that each person’s anatomy is different, and factors like skin elasticity and natural breast tissue will influence how the implants settle and look after surgery. Your surgeon will consider these aspects when recommending the best option for you. By carefully selecting your implants and working closely with your surgeon, you can achieve the curvy figure you desire while ensuring a comfortable fit.
It's great that you're taking the time to evaluate your options for achieving your desired breast appearance. Here are some considerations to help you decide between a breast lift, implants, or a combination of both: Assessing Your Goals: If your primary concern is volume and achieving a fuller, rounder look, breast implants alone may provide the enhancement you’re looking for. However, if you also want to address sagging or a loss of shape, a breast lift might be necessary to reposition the breasts and improve their overall contour. Combination Approach: Many patients find that a combination of both implants and a lift provides the best results. The lift can help reshape and elevate your breasts, while the implants add volume and fullness. This approach often leads to a more youthful and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Consultation with a Surgeon: It's essential to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate your breast anatomy, discuss your goals, and recommend the best course of action. They can provide insight into whether a lift, implants, or both will help you achieve the desired results. Consider Size and Projection: When discussing implants, consider what size and projection align with your vision for fullness. This will help the surgeon recommend the appropriate type and size of implants to use in conjunction with a lift, if needed. Personal Comfort: Ultimately, the decision should reflect your comfort and aesthetic goals. Ensure you communicate openly with your surgeon about your desires and concerns, as they can guide you through the options available to achieve the look you want. By working closely with a qualified surgeon, you can develop a tailored plan that meets your specific needs and helps you achieve your desired breast shape and volume.
Choosing between Motiva round implants and Ergonomix implants for breast augmentation is an important decision, especially when aiming for a natural appearance. Here are some considerations to help guide your choice: Motiva Round Implants: Round implants tend to provide fullness in the upper pole of the breast, which can enhance projection and volume. While they can look natural, they may not mimic the natural slope of the breast as well as shaped implants. If you’re aiming for a more pronounced look while still achieving some natural fullness, round implants may be a suitable option. Motiva Ergonomix Implants: Ergonomix implants are designed to mimic the natural shape of the breast. They have a more tapered appearance that allows for a gentle slope, providing a more natural contour. If your priority is achieving a subtle, natural look, Ergonomix implants may be the better choice. Body Proportions: Consider how each type of implant will complement your natural body proportions. The shape of your breast tissue, chest width, and overall body silhouette will influence how the implants appear post-surgery. Consultation with Your Surgeon: Discuss your specific goals and preferences with your surgeon. They can provide insights based on your individual anatomy and help you visualize how each type of implant might look on your body. Their experience can be invaluable in making the right choice for your desired outcome. Try Sizers: If possible, try on sizers of both implant types during your consultation. This can give you a better idea of how each will look and feel, helping you make a more informed decision. Ultimately, the choice between Motiva round and Ergonomix implants should align with your aesthetic goals and what you feel will best enhance your natural appearance.
It's not uncommon to experience changes in nipple sensitivity after breast augmentation, and it can take time for sensations to return. Here are some key points to consider regarding your situation: Healing Timeline: After breast surgery, it can take several months for sensitivity to return. Some patients may notice improvements in sensation within a few weeks, while for others, it may take up to a year or more. Nerve Recovery: Nerve endings can be temporarily disrupted during surgery, leading to decreased sensitivity. As healing progresses, the nerves may regenerate, and sensation can gradually improve. Individual Variation: Everyone’s body responds differently to surgery. Factors such as the surgical technique used, the type of implants, and individual healing processes can all influence the timeline for regaining sensitivity. Consult Your Surgeon: If you have concerns about the lack of sensitivity in your nipples, it's important to discuss this with your surgeon. They can evaluate your healing progress and provide insight on what to expect moving forward. Patience is Key: While it's understandable to feel anxious about this issue, many patients find that sensation gradually returns over time. Staying positive and giving your body the time it needs to heal is essential. If you have further concerns or if the lack of sensitivity continues beyond a reasonable timeframe, your surgeon may have additional recommendations or treatments to discuss.
It's completely normal to feel anxious about your upcoming surgery, especially regarding the implant size. Here are some important points to keep in mind as you approach your breast augmentation: Understanding Size Perception: While 200cc might seem small to some, it's essential to remember that each individual's body responds differently to implants. Factors such as your body composition, chest width, and existing breast tissue will all play a role in how the implants ultimately look. Goals for a Low B Cup: If your goal is to achieve a low B cup, the 200cc moderate plus profile may still align with that vision, especially considering that you are currently a 28AA. It’s worth remembering that swelling will also play a role in the final appearance, and it’s common for breasts to settle and soften over time. Communication with Your Surgeon: If you still have concerns about the size, consider reaching out to your surgeon for reassurance. They can provide insights based on their experience and help you feel more confident about your choice. They may also offer insights on how the implants will fit with your body type. Final Results and Patience: It’s important to give your body time to adjust post-surgery. Many patients experience changes in size and shape as they heal, and the final result can take several weeks or even months to fully develop. Trust the Process: While it’s natural to second-guess your decisions, trust in the planning and discussions you’ve had with your surgeon. You've made a thoughtful choice based on your goals, and it’s important to stay positive about the upcoming surgery. No matter the size, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in your choice. You’re embarking on a journey to enhance your appearance, and embracing the process can lead to a satisfying outcome.
