I highly recommend that you speak to your doctor or injections nurse specialist about any concerns that you might have with regards to the timing of your Botox or filler treatment. That said, you might want to play it safe and avoid having Botox or filler injections done at this time as the effects on pregnancy, breastfeeding, and IVF are unknown.
The likelihood that it would cause a problem is small possibly nonexistent. Having said that we also don't know if it is perfectly safe. What is more important to you: Getting a botox and filler service or getting pregnant? Why stress and wonder. Don't have service now. That way you do not need to stress that you caused yourself a problem.
There is no easy clear answer for this. That said, many people have had Botox and Filler treatments and subsequently had IVF or became pregnant and there are no reports of problems.
It is better to err on the side of safety and forego these treatments at this time as your scheduled IVF transfer is so close. There is not sufficient data available proving Botox is safe during that time, and therefore it is suggested that you postpone treatment until after you have completed pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The answer to this question is that we simply don't know. While there are certainly women who have received neuromodulator (Botox) and filler treatments just prior to natural conception or in early pregnancy before realizing they were pregnant, the outcome of these pregnancies have not been studied. Given the mechanism of action of neuromodulators I would not want to knowingly treat a pregnant woman with them. Hyaluronic acid fillers I am more comfortable with considering their use during pregnancy but we simply don't know have the research to know for certain whether they are safe. You are going to have to give up a lot of things for a health pregnancy, only you can decide how you might feel if your pregnancy is negatively affected by any of the choices you make. Even though I don’t think you will have any problems getting Botox or fillers close to your IVF frozen implant, I would suggest refraining from doing them at this point.
Hello and thanks so much for your question. Filler and botox are not recommended when pregnant or breast feeding. If you are trying to get pregnant, you may want to refrain from doing procedures that are not recommended if pregnant just to be on the safe side. Best of luck!
This is a great question, and one that comes up frequently. The short and not so "black and white" answer is - we don't know. The effects of botox and filler have not been thoroughly studied in pregnant patients. Several patients may go on to naturally conceive right after a treatment; however, if you have a set date for your IVF and it is within the week I would avoid getting these treatments until after you have safely delivered your baby and if you decide to breastfeed. Enjoy this magical time and resume treatments when it is safe to do so.
Thank you for your question and I appreciate your concern. Neuromodulators like Botox are the best choice for this area, and repeat treatments may offer enhanced results over time. However, we will use small amounts of filler in this area for patients that need a little extra help to reduce deep...
While I can read clearly what you wrote, consider reposting with some marks on your face as to the injection points that were used. I would like to see what you mean by temporalis and masseter as this really should not have happened if those areas were injected.
The good news about Botox is that it does wear off and does not have permanent effects. Depending on the volumes injected and where they are injected in can take 3-6 months for return to normal function. If you are starting to see a slight improvement that indicates you are close to...
Weight loss will not likely have a significant impact on the size of the masseter muscle. Botox works nicely to relax this muscle to slim the jawline. Treatments are done every 3 to 4 months. See an expert injector to learn more.
Thank you for your question. Botox is a neuromodulator that works by relaxing facial muscles. It is commonly used to smooth away wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. An experienced injector might also use the neurotoxin to enhance the shape of the lips or to reduce the appearance of...
Thank you for your question and photo. The cause of a double chin is excess fat. I suggest you look into Kybella instead for permanent destruction of your under chin fat. Kybella is the first and only FDA approved injectable that destroys underchin fat permanently. It usually takes two to four ...
