I’d heard that getting anything other than Botox between the eyebrows is dangerous. In one of my previous posts I was asking about getting filler between my eyebrows to help in the production of collagen on top of getting Botox for the line that’s forming between them. But then one of the doctors responses in someone else’s post that I’d read said that this could be really dangerous to do. Wouldn’t using a blunt tipped cannula eliminate the risk though of anything going wrong?

Answer: Injections at the Glabella. This area is quite risky and requires expert knowledge of anatomy and experience operating regularly in this area to inject it safely. While sharp needles or blunt cannula can be used, I prefer cannula because they are less likely to have injection into a blood vessel and less likely to cause bruising. Best regards, Dr Weiss

Answer: Fillers have been done in the glabella by doctors but even a cannula (blunt) creates risk. Regular botox is best People with deep furrows should try to have regular botox consistently repeating it before it all wears off to see if the deep groove lessens over time. Reports indicate that blunt-tipped cannulae can't prevent complications of fillers. Use of filler should not be a thick filler and should be one that can be dissolved. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice.
