I’m 36 year old. 5’1 142lbs. I wear 34DD and would like to go down to 34C. I’m wondering if MSP would cover my breast reduction? I would have to ask for a Dr’s referral but I want to know if I would be a good candidate. I have shoulder and neck pain all the time. When I do the Schnur sliding scale it says my BSA is 1.60 and minimum breast tissue to be removed 310 grams.

Answer: Would I Qualify for a Breast Reduction? #breastreduction Without actually seeing any photos, or examining your breasts, it's difficult to say for sure if 310 g of tissue could be removed safely from your breasts. I can tell you that some of our happiest patients are our breast reduction patients! This operation really does relieve women of their neck, shoulder, and back pain which is often caused by large breasts!Definitely meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated!

Answer: Breast reduction Dear gabz06, breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term.If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
