My journey with Blanc Clinic started last year when I reached out via whatsapp. I was discussing options with other popular surgeons in Istanbul at the time (Celebi, Volkan and Bariskan) but found communication with the assistants wasn't as thorough or helpful as I would have liked. I'm not sure why but this made me worry about pre and post op care, but I had also read an in-depth review from a patient of Celebi's that found pre and post op care was not good at all. From that point, I scraped my idea of going with a surgeon that is riding the popularity wave at the time and accepted that Turkey has a vast array of talented surgeons. I found Blanc Clinic through a quick google search and immediately Whatsapp'd the assistant, Tarik. He asked for photos and what result I was hoping for. He conversed with the Dr. Helvaci and she advised that the surgery and result would be easy (despite me thinking I had a really difficult case)! Tarik was my point of contact from that point forward, he sent me before and afters of patients with similar cases and results I was hoping for. No question was too much (and I asked a lot!!), he always came back promptly and answered in as much detail as I needed. When I unfortunately had to cancel my original date due to Turkey going on the red list, Tarik was very understanding and continued to answer my questions and help me find a new date once Turkey finally came off the red list! At this time, I also decided to get jowl liposuction and fat transfer to my chin. Once I was in Istanbul, Tarik kept constant contact. My consultation was on a Monday, Tarik picked myself and my friend up from our hotel. We went to the clinic, which was on the 37th floor of a local business building/ shopping mall, with beautiful views and a beautiful set up. All the staff were lovely and friendly. My consultation only lasted about 10 minutes but Dr. Helvaci was confident and very reassuring that she felt the operation would go according to plan. Tarik sat in on the consultation and later relayed anything to me that I may have missed, as I was in a constant state of "I can't believe I'm finally doing this". Tarik dropped us back to the hotel and told me what time he would collect me to go to the hospital the next day. The next day was a whirlwind, Tarik took myself and my friend to the hospital. First, I had a meeting with the anaesthesiologist, Tarik went through all the forms with me and translated questions if there was a language barrier between myself and the anaesthesiologist. After this, I had and ECG followed by my blood tests. There was a lot of quick pacing through the hospital to different departments. Finally I got settled into my private room, kitted out with a sofa (which you friend can sleep on if you bring someone), kettle, teas etc, TV and bathroom. I signed more forms that weren't in English but if I'm being honest, there was so much to read I'm not sure I would of had time - if this is concerning to you please ask to have them with enough time to go through them. I then changed into my gown and had the cannula put into my hand (not the most pleasant but bearable). Dr. Helvaci soon arrived to check in and to do her surgical drawing lines on my face. She advised I would be sedated soon. My one complaint would be that I didn't receive this sedative but I think that would be down to the staff there rather than Blanc Clinic - if you are particularly nervous (for some reason unlike me, I was quite calm) please do remind the staff that you are expecting one. A nurse came in soon after with a bed for me to hop into to be wheeled down to the operating room. Once there I was put under quite soon. Then I was woken up and it was over! Just like that... When I first woke up I noticed that my heels were really sore... I have no idea why. I also had a headache and was obviously a bit disorientated. They put some painkillers through my cannula (which didn't end up working as it needed to be changed). Once back in the room, with the help of the staff they put me back on my bed from the operating bed. I did complain that I had a cracking headache so they changed my cannula and re-administered the painkillers. They also tried to put an ice pack on my head which just caused too much pain so I couldn't keep it on, I would suggest to try as it would have massively helped with the swelling. I then did have a bit of a panic (as I'm inclined to do) so the nurses ordered another blood test and ECG (which I paid €83 extra for the next day) and had a doctor come in to reassure me. After that I was in and out of sleep, I think every two hours a nurse came in to take my blood pressure and give me more pain killers. You can't get up to go to the bathroom until you've eaten (3 hours after surgery). I felt very weak and didn't eat a lot until the following evening (which isn't ideal). The next day, Tarik picked me up from the hospital and came with all my medication and explained what each was for. The following days I spent a good amount of time trying to keep my nose clean and sleep sitting upright in the bed. On Friday, I felt very nauseous and weak which was my fault as I wasn't drinking enough water or eating. Another member of staff (Bassel) picked me up to go and get my splint off in the clinic. The staff were so kind as I needed to plonk myself down on the couch due to feeling so faint. They took really good care of me! Dr. Helvaci took my splint off in the waiting room so I didn't have to move. They reapplied my nose bandages and I was given all my paperwork to take home. I flew home two days later and each day I felt a bit better. Finally the next friday rolled around and I could take my nose bandages off. It was so nice to see my nose properly! I sent after pics to my Tarik, who besides being so happy for me, showed the doctor and she said I needed to put my head bandage back on (for my neck after liposuction). Which really showed me that they care after you've completed surgery and left the country. Overall, I am so happy with my results. Pre and post op care was amazing from Tarik and all the staff in Medicina hospital! Dr. Evren Helvaci is really experienced and I would 100% recommend her. Thank you to everyone in Blanc Clinic for helping me achieve something I've dreamed of for years. My main advice is to DRINK and EAT after surgery, it really helps! Try get out and see some of Istanbul pre and post surgery. I would have done more post surgery had I not had a big head bandage on covered in blood! Ask the questions and find someone you can put your trust in to look after you during your stay. Bring a friend, I was so lucky to bring someone who was happy to do things by himself when I was bed bound, but he helped me so much I don't' think I could have done it without him. Please reach out if you have any questions about the process :) If you are going with Blanc Clinic, I'm sure Tarik will be more than helpful! Catch me on insta, I'm always happy to help!https://www.instagram.com/jade...
(My first surgery was in Beirut in 2016.) The experience before surgery: I messaged a few places and they were one of the best at timely informative responses. Since first contact, on WhatsApp Yavuz was so nice and helpful. I had a video call consultation with Dr Evren which really helped with my nerves and to answer the doubts I had. On arrival, we met Fatih who collected us from the airport. He was so great and I saw a lot of him during my trip. I had a covid test at the hospital which hands down was the scariest part for me. But Yavuz was there to help fill out my forms and translate. I was still nervous about the surgery and wasn’t feeling 100% about what my results would be like until I met the Dr..straight away it was very obvious that she was highly experienced, she literally answered all my questions accurately (and I had a lot!), I left feeling excited about it all. Aside from the procedure; shout out to Yavuz, Fatih, Nurse Hilal and the lovely assistant. They’re such a great team and always available to help. I feel like I made a friend with Yavuz, I really appreciate all the extra stuff he did and recommendations he gave me for my visit. Fatih is such a multitalented guy lol he was there taking me to my appointments he was there to hold my hand for the blood test, and he was even in my surgery! couldn’t have done it without him. Legend, thank you! The surgery: I still had a deviated septum which gave me trouble breathing and looked bent on the outside. When I took a selfie with the Instagram camera (mirrored) I couldn’t tell as much but with the iPhone camera you can see what others who see you can see.. and i looked very asymmetric that way. The doctor straightened it opening up my passages and making it look much better and symmetrical. My nose was too long and the tip had dropped quite low after my first surgery. This was cut down and lifted with inside stitches. I am told it won’t drop much more when it’s healed than how it was post op. I had a lot of bone reaching out to under my eyes which looked quite high. Those were taken down on both sides. Obviously if you’ve researched already you’ll know not much can be done to manipulate nostrils as they’re soft tissue. One of my concerns was my nostrils being visibly open from a profile view. The lifting made them look more closed so I’m happy. I have to say Dr Evren had great reviews but I was keen to have my survey with her because she’s a woman. I have spoken to a lot of male surgeons and had plenty of consultations, I never felt confident in the answers they were giving. (I don’t mean offence to male surgeons, but I believe most women generally take their time in getting things done right and have a better approach with patients..NO REGRETS! I was right) Dr Evren is an absolute queen and amazing at what she does. I feel really lucky that I’ve managed to find her from across country and so far I’m really happy I went ahead with it. Recovery: I stayed in the hospital for a night which was good because the nurses constantly checked my vitals and made sure I was sleeping straight. I was amazed that with all the work the dr done I had hardly any bruising! And minor swelling for a couple days. I left turkey 4 days after surgery. Painless. I was bothered by the tampons in my nose for a couple of days but once they were out it was smooth sailing. The cast was removed and plasters were put on which I kept for a week. Aftercare: The doctor told me a list of dos and don’ts. I cleaned my nose a lot everyday and had blood clots for about 2 weeks post op. But that was it, no aftercare needed- Yavuz still answers all my random questions so it’s great to know they’re available if I need them. 3 weeks later: My nose is SO cute! (Instagram & iPhone selfies look almost the same! XD) Really suits my face I love it. Obviously still have a slight worry factor because it took a year after my previous surgery to see the final result. Dr Evren says it will take 3 months this time round.. I’ll check in here and put an updated review then. If you’re considering a surgery, reach out to the team and ask your questions, I’m happy to answer any about my experience also. Updated on 28 Nov 2020: So initially I raised a couple of concerns from the post op photos and the same ones after the cast removal. I wasn’t thrilled about the asymmetry of the centre where the stitching was. It was painful to touch on one side and kept making me sneeze and dropped lower on the left. When the assistant cut a stitch on the left it was very painful and no one seemed to understand why I jumped, they thought it was an over reaction. The bridge was also higher on the left. I was told things would look and feel different after it was healed but it’s the same just dropped lower :( also that painful left side is still just as painful and if touched makes me sneeze.. strange but I have to accept these things as I refuse to undergo another surgery. Updated on 21 Feb 2021: Not sure why it’s so difficult to achieve symmetry.. 2 surgeries and still unlucky. Post 1st surgery, my nose tip just dropped too far down and my nostrils were too flared. Post 2nd surgery, the nose tip hasn’t dropped as far down but it’s asymmetric with one side drooping lower, there is also a bump on the opposite side, a dent underneath and the septum isn’t even straight.. its nearly impossible to breath out of both nostrils but one is significantly worse than the other, especially when sleeping. I seem to have more issues now than before. Not sure what the solution is :(
I have a nice experience. she is a professional and you can trust her one hundred percent. Everything run smoothly. Overally I didn't have any problem or issue. After the surgery I didn't have any pain. I could start eating after three hours. The recovery procedure was also fine.
My nose-job at blancclinc istanbul went extreemly good. I’m very happy with my new nose, I could not en more happy. I came all the way from the Netherlands to turkey for this doctor. I want to take her whole team!
I came from Holland for rhinoplasty surgery (nose job) by doctor E.Helvaci. A team like this who takes care and appreciates their patients, they all are so professional, so good, very helpful. They kept in close touch after the procedure and that has been so appreciated. The resul i got was amazing. My quality of life and confidence in myself have been greatly improved. I'm so glad i chose doctor E. Helvaci. I highly recommend her. And i'll come back if i want to do anything the future. ????
I had rhinoplasty surgery by Evren Helvaci, and that action was the best decision I’ve ever made. I had no pain, no purple spots after the surgery and got the best result Since day 1! Thankful to her!
In March 2017 I went to Istanbul for a nose surgery. From the first appointment to the last moment of the surgery I was feeling me like a princessIt was the best choice in my life.. bye bye witch nose :) thanks mrs Evren and her very kindly team.
I came from Canada, it was a very nice experience that I had with Dr. Helvaci. I had liposuction on the stomach, back, and sides. She injected fat at the hip, then she put silicone prostheses in the gluteal muscle, the result is very natural and I can guarantee you that it is also spectacular. I fully trust her and her adorable super-competent surgical team who are doing their job in the best conditions.
Last year I decided to have breast reduction operation and one of my doctor friends recommended Evren Helvaci. Before I met her, I was really nervous about it cos I had never had an operation before. I got an appointment and met her. She was so helpful, honest and proffesional that I decided to set a date. I thought it would be really painful but thanks to her, I started work on my third day of the operaion. I really loved the new way my breasts looked. However, after a while I noticed that I needed a liposuction and fat injection to my butt. Who did I see? Of course Evren Helvaci again. Because as you know trust is really important in surgeries. She told me the procedure throughly and said that I was perfect for tbese two procedures. We set a date and it was time to change completely. After I had the operation, she guided me through every step of post surgery. She was kind, helpful and understanding. Now Im on the sixth week of my operation. My waist line got to 65cm from 88cm. I can say I was reborn again by the help of Evren Helvaci and her team. I strongly recommend her if you are willing to change your look. She is the one who you can trust completely. From here, I really want to thank her and her team for giving me the body I always dreamt of and being so patient.
Hello . The worst doctor ever I talked to Sham and the situation is not comfortable at all. You disclaim all responsibility. The operation I underwent was a light operation, but I have already consulted a doctor here in Israel. The questions that arose were: 1. Why did I have a pain reprimand and lose 2 liters of blood during the operation? 2. Why did I pay for the blood rations at all. It is not respectable at all because you are in charge of the surgery. I did all the instructions, I paid a lot of money for the surgery. This is an operation I dreamed of for 4 years and I relied on you !!! But I am not satisfied with the result at all. I am in pain unable to return to my routine life. My body hurts. And I was willing to endure it all in exchange for the result. The result is not good and negative. It made me insecure. I can not trust you forever until surgery: 1. I ha want to do reoperation. 2. Do not want to do the nose or chest at all. 3. I started sports and quality of life and I am not interested in undergoing surgery. 4. I do not trust you emotionally at all !! I ASKED SHAM TO HAVE A VIDEO CALL WITH YOU, YOU DIDNT DO THAT. I ASK YOU TO SEND ME MY MONEY BACK !!! THATS WHAT I WANT .
Hello there and thank you for your question. It is better to perform it with nipple lift, without nipple repositioning your breast and nipple can be ptotic. I recommend you to discuss this with your doctor who will perform your surgery. Best Regards Evren Helvacı MD
Hello there and thank you for your question. Breast reduction surgery without the use of implants and reduction can be done. The prosthesis can be used simultaneously if you want the upper part of the breast to look fuller Best Regards Evren Helvacı MD
Hello there and thank you for your question. Liposuction is a technique used in breast reduction surgery, but if your breast structure is not fatty, it will not work and your sagging in the breast may become more pronounced. Best Regards Evren Helvacı MD
Hello there and thank you for your question. In breast reduction we both reduce and lift the tissue. They are not separate surgeries in reduction mammoplast. Best Regards Evren Helvacı MD
Hello there and thank you for you question. It depends on your skin quality, comorbidity like diabetes or smoking affects your wound healing. And mostly small wounds and closes spontaneously. Best Regards. Evren Helvacı
