I had got smp done about a year ago and I also went through 2 laser tattoo removal sessions to alter my hairline from the smp (there was easily a gap of 8-9 weeks between both the sessions). The last session I went through was on the 14th of December 2018 (25 days ago). Suffering from post inflammatory hyperpigmentation because of the laser removal and was initially prescribed a hydroquinone cream which worked initially but led to relapsed hyperpigmentation. Is it permanent? what can I do?

Answer: Scalp MicroPigmentation or SMP is basically a tattoo. Laser tattoo removal does not usually cause hyperpigmentation.
