Could it potentially fade or somehow discolor the pigments of SMP? Thank you.

SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, is a painless procedure that uses highly specialized equipment and unique techniques to carefully and expertly inject all-natural, color-tailored pigments into the scalp creating a completely natural look of the patient’s hairline. A typical procedure involves an initial consultation and two pigmentation sessions to achieve the desired results. You can wash your head the fourth day after the treatment and, during that time, avoid any strenuous activity that will prompt undesired sweating. Once the procedure is complete, the results of a Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can last up to five years. 
Because the healing period after SMP is short, and its effects last up to 5 years, there should not be a problem using self tanning lotion in the area. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

Scalp MicroPigmentation or SMP is basically a tattoo.  It is best to see a doctor for after care instructions since each doctor has a different opinion.In general you can use any products after SMP as long as your skin has fully healed.

You should be able to use lotions this far out from SMP.  After 3 months, the ink is usually set up well so you can rub it.  Some think you can do this sooner.  Others suggest 3 months.

Using lotions 3 months post SMP should not be a problem! I would choose good quality lotions, maybe low in alcohol content!
