I have a hereditary double chin that has always made me very self conscious. Even at my low weight I still did not have a super defined jaw. I was wondering if I am a good candidate for Kybella? Also I am unsure if my chin could use an implant? I have lost 50 pounds and have more to lose so I know more excess fat will go away from my neck but it won't fully be gone. I also have a little line under my chin where the double chin is. Thank you in advance for any answers!
Answer: Kybella Dear Banana0412, Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella. Answer: Mini Facelift & Mini neck lift -- FaceTite RF for internal skin tightening + Neck Liposuction for definition/contouring FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Knowing what options are best for you Chin/neck definition is something that is influenced by genetics, bone structure and soft tissue. Weight loss and gain can change the amount of fat in the surrounding areas and affect the appearance also. Depending on your x-rays, sometimes bone surgery can move around the maxilla or mandible to get an improvement if needed. Surgical options also include chin implants and liposuction for the neck. However, in my practice a lot of patients can be treated non surgically with just filler injections such as Kybella or Juvederm. This avoids surgery and usually the patients are very happy. These procedures can be done safely in the office and the results are often very satisfying. An in-office private consultation and examination with a board-certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to fully address your specific concerns and determine the right treatment plan. I hope this helps answer your question. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right.

Answer: Kybella treatment Hello. The answer is yes. You are a candidate for Kybella. It could be an effective non-surgical procedure to eliminate fat under your chin, without any damage to the skin or other tissues in the area. As an auxiliary treatment, you could have a filler for chin and jaw projection, to improve your face contour. Contact a specialist in your area for an in-person exam. You can have great results. Good luck!

Answer: Kybella treatments Congratulations on your weight loss! Both can be potentially good options however best advise would be for an in person consultation to advise you. Other options can be skin tightening post kybella or liposuction to maintain your skin texture and laxity of skin as prevention.
