Is it cheaper to have cosmetic rhinoplasty if you also have a medical procedure at the same time?

Hi and welcome to our forum!Cosmetic procedures (such as rhinoplasty...if it is not involved with the nasal airway obstruction) can be combined with functional procedures (such as septoplasty). The portion of the procedure (including anesthesia) dedicated to functional issues is usually insurance covered while the cosmetic portion will be the patient's responsibility. I don't think it will make the procedure less expensive overall.Best wishes...

 Cosmetic  nasal surgery and functional nasal surgery can both be performed simultaneously, however the portion of the anesthesia, the operating room and the surgeon's fees for each procedure are billed separately. A septoplasty and rhinoplasty are two completely procedures, however both can be performed under one anesthetic  with one recovery period.
