My vagina is swollen after breast augmentation, is this a concern?

I got my breast augmentation 5 days ago, the first 2 days my stomach was very bloated, and today I noticed that it all went down to my vagina?? my whole pelvic area is swollen. is it normal?

I have seen this a few times in thin females who had what we would consider a normal amount of IV fluid but for some reason they swelled up a bit. It should go away 100% Good Luck!

Thanks for your inquiry, but without an exam it is hard to advise.  Please visit with your surgeon to make sure you do not have a yeast infection or other abnormal situation causing the swelling.

Dear madam,   Front and side view pictures would have been very helpful. I have been in practice for over 30 years and never had witnessed such phenomena. Obviously, the concern is a large hematoma, so you should contact your surgeon asap , to be examined, evaluated and possibly take appropriate action.              All the best,                           Dr Widder

I have never seen anything like this after breast augmentation surgery and I suggest you discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Thanks for your question. I have never had this complaint from a breast augmentation patient. I think it is highly unusual so I would call your surgeon to let him/her know what is going on. The breast procedure should really have nothing to do with abdominal bloating or vaginal swelling. Best regards.

Swelling after a BA is very common, and swelling of the abdomen is also not unheard of. This is due to the effects of gravity over the fluids that initially cause swelling in the chest.
If you do not present any other discomforts or symptoms, then you should wait for a week or two for the swelling down there to go down.
If after that you still present a lot of swelling, then contact you surgeon so that they may give you medication to ease the problem.

this is not usual.  swelling of the abdomen is possible due to blood running down under the skin.  also could be due to pain meds causing constipation.  if you have vaginal discharge could be due overgrowth of candida albicans, easily treatable.  take it up with your operating surgeon.
