Stuffy nose 2 days before breast augmentation, will this cause risk for capsular contraction? Should I postpone?

If you have an infection going on with bacteria, they in our practice we'd be postponing surgery.    You should be speaking with your surgeon about what their protocol is in this situation.

In and of itself, having nasal congestion will not increase your risk of capsular contracture. However, it is imperative that you are otherwise well and don't have an active infection, and that you discuss your symptoms with your plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist and that they both agree it is safe for you to undergo an elective procedure.  

Best advice is to discuss with your surgeon to make sure they and their anesthesiologist are comfortable in proceeding. If it is only a cold, you should be fine and the risk of capsular contracture should not be higher than it normally is.

Impossible to advise without in person examination. You seem to have many issues going into this surgery. The long flight, now a possible cold/nasal issue. Maybe you are looking to cancel for some reason. Best to have IN PERSON visit with your chosen operative surgeon to discuss ALL your concerns in detail. 

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. I suggest that you check directly with your surgeon. A head cold before surgery is, in itself, not a contradindication to your surgery. However, if your head cold converts to more serious infection, then you should consider postponing your procedure. Good luck!
