6 weeks post op and my incision is leaking, do I need to see my doctor right away? (Photos)

I am 6 weeks post op from a tummy tuck. I have this area that is red and irritated. My surgeon is on vacation and has a PA filling in for him. I saw her yesterday and she told me to put vitamin e on it. Today it started oozing fluid. I have an appt to see her again on Tuesday. Am I ok to wait that long?

Dear KMC0003,  Those are metal clips used to ligate small blood vessels going to the abdominal flap.  Yes, they need to be removed and it will not hinder your wound healing.  These are not commonly used in tummy tucks but not unheard of either.  I hope this has been helpful.  Dr. Wilcox
