How to improve lumpiness from abdominal liposuction?

I had liposuction 2 years ago and I still have some small imperfections in my abdomen area what would you recommend to get rid of those?

A specific answer is impossible without physical examination. It does look as though excess skin is the problem from the photograph.Inadequate treatment in the periumbilical region might benefit from retreatment. Laser assisted liposuction can sometimes create fibrosis for which there are not a lot of good treatment options.

It is very common to have bruising and swelling for weeks to months after liposuction procedures.  What is most important is that you follow your surgeons post operative instructions and continue compression.  If you are concerned, lymphatic massage and Velashape or Venus Legacy treatments can be used to improve the swelling and help the skin tighten.  My patients start treatments right away and it improves the long term results.  Otherwise you can have a hi definition procedure to fix the irregulairities and give you a more smooth and defined result. Best, Dr. Emer.

Healing after plastic surgery is a process and the earlier parts are the most challenging.  Emotions are a big part of the process as well.   Best is to discuss specifically with the operating surgeon so that he /she can take a look.  Our patient i Book has a lot of basic information as well.Healing after liposuction k is usually pretty straight forward.  There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery.  The later phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens.  It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient.

Thank you for your question. The photo is a little hard to see, but I can imagine there may be a few areas where you notice a contour difference. This is not uncommon. "Touch up" liposuction might be an option, or perhaps even fat grafting (adding small amounts of fat back in for blending purposes). I would meet with your surgeon again to get some options. Cheating uneven results after liposuction can be difficult.This is especially true if the area was over treated.Revision liposuction or fat transfer are the two most common techniques. Revision liposuction is often effective if there is sufficient fat to work with.Areas that have been overtreated are much more difficult to correct. Fat grafting is another option that can be considered.The inherent limitation with fat grafting is insufficient tissue to graft into.This is often the case in areas that were over treated.
