How long can lipo affect my menstrual balance?

I am in agreement with the other doctors that the irregularity of your cycle could normally last a couple months, but if it persists, I would recommend seeing your OBGYN.

Liposuction or surgery in general can affect your cycle.  A couple of months might be necessary to return to normal.  If this persists then you should be evaluated by your OB/GYN

Thank you for your question. It is one that, I'd bet, many women have but never really ask. Certainly any stress event (including surgery) can cause changes in hormone levels and menstruation. An OB/GYN physician is likely to be the best person to ask if the changes persist longer than a few months after the procedure. Best wishes

Any stress or anesthesia/surgery can affect your cycle but the effects should be short-lived.  If your cycle doesn't correct shortly check with your gyn to be certain that you're not pregnant or suffering from some other condition.
