I had an FUE done recently for facial hair transplant. It was charged as 1200 grafts but was actually 600 two hair grafts split into 1200 singles. Is there a reason why no single hair grafts were taken? Likewise, does this mean it was a 600 or 1200 graft procedure? I've been told that a 600 procedure is considered very small and barely affects my donor area (which I'm hoping is the case because I'm regretting the procedure and want to get rid of it).
Answer: Single hairs Single hairs for the face are generally preferred over multi unit follicles. 600 is very small and should not create any obvious deformity.

Answer: 600 or 1200 Before facial hair transplantation, I examine the existing facial hair and determine the groupings of that hair. Everyone is different. Some people have multiple follicular unit groupings on the face while others have mainly single hairs. To achieve a natural result its important to determine the right mixture of singles and multiples and place them appropriately for you. Sometimes I use singles on the top edge of the beard or mustache and multiples underneath to provide greater volume. Other times I use all singles if the surrounding native hair is all singles. Those nuances are more of the art of facial hair design and different physicians have different approaches. In terms of the extraction, people have different ratios of singles vs multiple unit donor grafts. You can target what grafts you extract if you want more singles or more mutiples with an fue but it may be a supply and demand issue if your donor area didn't have many singles. Best to discuss with your surgeon if you have any concerns about how the procedure was performed. Also might be worth it to see it when it grows out as you may happy with the result in the end.

Answer: FUE harvest Its hard to say without having been in the procedure to answer your question in great detail. I suggest discussing these questions with your surgeon who performed your procedure. From grafting choices, to decisions made during the procedure into which grafts go where, these are all things that they would know best and I would discuss with them. 600 is a very small harvest depending on what your donor area looked like before starting. I hope some of this helps.

Answer: hair grafts split Although we have never use only single grafts in all cheek area and try to blend 2-3 hair bearing grfats with single ones, single grafts may be wished by doctor to have more natural look..But no, number is 600 grafts not 1200 grafts . İn some centers technicians try to increase the number of the grafts and they split them .I think splitting may harm the grafts and decrease viability of them .
