Answer: After otoplasty, how long do I need to wait before going for body massage or foot massage? It is always wise to be cautious in order to attain optimum results. You need to be very careful to avoid trauma to the ears such as a strike to the ears or forcefully pulling on your ears. No strenuous activity or exercise for at least 2-3 weeks after your surgery. Your PS can provide guidance as he/she will know how you are healing.

Answer: Otoplasty surgery recovery We generally recommend no strenuous physical activity for 6-8 weeks following otoplasty surgery, although light activity such as exercises fine after about 2 weeks. It would be best to discuss this with your surgeon carefully because - if the ears are going to be pulled down , this may be a contraindication to doing any massages at this time. Best of luck to you

Answer: Otoplasty and massage Great question, thank you! As long as you are not directly laying on your ears or putting pressure on your ears during the massage then you should be good to go! Enjoy the massage, Dr. Lindsay J Sturm.
