39 years old- Am I a suitable candidate for a tummy tuck and liposuction? (Photos)

Hi I am 39 years old 5'8" 14st 6lbs I have lost 2 -3 stone and kept it off for 2 years. I have a lot of skin and fat i 1 area my tummy. Would I be suitable for a tummy tuck and lipo. Many thanks

If you’re at your stable and ideal weight, are generally healthy and want to get rid of the loose skin and excess fat in your midsection, then a tummy tuck with liposuction may be an option for you.

From your pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck as long as you do not exceed the max Body Mass Index (BMI) limit for tummy tuck surgery which is 33 at our practice. Thank you for your questions and photos. From your photos, you are a good candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction. A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of the abdominal muscle. The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss. By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but your core strength as well. The repair of the muscle will cinch your waist like an inner corset, which will accentuate your curves. Liposuction will remove excess fat from unwanted areas with some skin retraction. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals. From the looks of your photos I would say you are an excellent candidate for an abdominoplasty, but more important factors include your overall health, medical conditions, and previous surgical history! I would recommend that you see a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation in person. You have excess hanging skin. You would be a candidate for a tummy tuck. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. After this has been completed, you may benefit from a posterior lift resulting in a 360 lifting or you may consider liposuction.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Based on your photos and the information you sent, your BMI is still a bit high. Ideally reduce to a BMI of 27-28 mainly because your overweight pounds (fat), are located in your upper body, and are shown a thick abdominal flap and protruding abdomen because of visceral fat. 
So after the weight loss, you will be a great candidate for a Tummy Tuck, Muscle Repair, most likely mons lift, and liposuction possibly to waist and lovehandles (nothing else is seen in your photos).
