Thank you for your question, alipeshdary. Yes, you should be washing your hair gently with the tools and according to the procedure provided and indicated by your board certified facial plastic surgeon. It is imperative that your hair remain clean throughout the healing process. Feel free to meet with you board certified facial plastic surgeon for their showing you how to properly wash your hair. Best wishes,
If your scalp feels itchy, it can be normal. It can also mean you are not cleaning it well enough. If you are concerned it is best to see your doctor for a recheck.
An FUE is treated just like a regular hairtransplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor area has openwounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3 days ofsurgery, you can resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish. Therecipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area free ofcrusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient with asurgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area daily.By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear oflosing grafts. IF any crust are present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapywater, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodgingthem, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like tosee no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from thedonor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing. With regard to itching, the medications HPR + HydroGel work well foritching

Dear chinos316Thanks for the question. Typically, it's best to avoid consuming alcoholic beverages for at least 48 hours after surgery. Even if you do consume alcohol, be sure to go easy. I wish you all the best.
