Thank you for your question and photo. I believe that a consultation and an accurate analysis of your lips would be the best way forward to decide if a lip lift or a further enhancement with fillers are the appropriate treatment for your specific case. It will mainly depend of what you exactly dislike or your lips and the cosmetic result you would like to achieve. Make sure you see a plastic surgeon with adequate expertise in this specific procedure. Best of luckAndrea MarandoPlastic and Cosmetic Surgeon, Manchester, Uk
Thank you for your question. Full lips have always been a sign of youth and beauty, however, as we age, lips tend to get thinner due to diminishing levels of collagen and skin. Lips may also wrinkle making you look and feel older than you really appear. Injectables and surgical treatments offer the option to give you fuller, younger, sensual looking lips and to help improve your self confidence. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
An upper lip lift does three things:1. Shortens the distance of the base of the nose to the upper lip Vermilion.2. Allows your upper teeth to be seen, which is aesthetically beneficial in most cases.3. Everts the upper lip Vermilion (rolls it outwards) to a very minor degree. I tell my patients that if they are coming to me for an upper lip lift and expect a a good deal of added "real estate" to their upper lip, they will be disappointed. An upper lip lift will give you an alluring, model-type look as you see in the glossy fashion magazines. To get a complete assessment, a plastic surgeon needs to see you in person and also assess your upper lip against the backdrop of your upper teeth when your mouth is slightly parted. Aesthetically you would also benefit from a medialized corner lip lift in order to roll out the corners of your upper lip vermilion that have turned inwards before they reach the actual corners of your mouth.
Thank you for your question. Usually it takes up to 4 to 6 weeks for the upper lip to be totally settled and therefore I would not be concerned yet. If you only had your lip lift 7 days ago, you are probably due to see your surgeon shortly and he/she will be able to reassure you. Posting the...

Great question. Wound care is of utmost importance when it comes to avoiding those dreaded train tracks. Keeping the incision clean and free from crusting, along with adequate moisturization with ointment will ensure that you heal appropriately. Also, the sutures should be...
