Unhappy with lip lift done 1 week ago - how much more improvement can realistically be expected if swelling is way down. (photo)

Question

Issues: #1. Lip shape dramatically altered to triangle shape!! 2. Some asymmetry 3. Can't shut mouth without straining. 4. nose looks v deformed. I know I still have weeks till things are "finalized" but do you think I can realistically expect to see *significant* changes on the listed problem areas, esp. SHAPE? In your opinion were there errors made in this procedure (i.e. too much skin taken) and if so, what, if anything, can be done to correct results?

Please remain patient and follow your surgeon's recovery instructions and post op care diligently. Thank you for providing photos with your query. For your guidance, 1 week is too soon to see final results because swelling after a lift lip persists for up to 2 weeks and tightness will diminish within a few months. Do not hesitate to ask your doctor about your concern or any additional aftercare options that can improve the final results. As you mention it, it is too soon to determine if there are "errors" at the procedure. You might like or not the final results but it is hard to tell if the the procedure was defective, since your surgeon assessed you to achieved the desired results.

Give it some time to decrease the swelling and then you can discuss with your surgeon your options.
