Can Botox or Surgery fix a horizontal line between top of nose and forehead? (photos)

Yes, Botox can definitely help with your perma line. Although for best results, the ideal treatment would probably involve Botox and fillers. I would advise you to schedule an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss. There is no reason to look unhappy all the time.

Thank you for your question.  You will find that Botox injected in this area can relax the muscle that is causing this crease considerably.  You will see a great softening of this region.  If the line softens but is still persistent, then you can consider injecting this with a filler agent.  Botox will last several months, and the filler can further soften the look for about a year.

Thank you for your question.  Yes Botox will help soften that crease.  I am not an advocate for fillers in the glabella area due to the potential risks, but if you do go that route or a combo approach with Botox, I advise you see an experienced provider and discuss with them the use of microcannulas as this will mitigate against some of the risks.  As well, while the risk is low, please make sure they have a protocol in place for intravascular injection of filler and have the necessary items in their protocol (i.e.: nitropaste, aspirin, etc.)  Dr. Beer had a good article on the protocol I will link below.  Regards, Dr. Matthew J. You may consider a combination approach with Botox as well as a small amount of filler. Juvederm may be a good option for that area. You may also consider procedures that will lift and tighten the skin of the face without surgery such as Ultherapy. Hope this helps.

This is due to muscle contraction and hence botox is the first choice.It will improve after Botox, but if it does not, then consider combining this with a Derma Filer.All the best

I do see many men with this type of line in my practice.  It is caused by a combination of anatomical factors, and a combined approach is often needed to address the issue.  I use botulinum toxins such as Botox and Dysport, combined with hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm.  It's best to start with the toxins and see if the line improves within 3 months, then add fillers if needed.  In addition, when the line is deep, laser resurfacing may also be needed.  

This is sometimes difficult to treat.  Botox often softens it a little bit, but not completely.  However, it is a good idea to continue to get Botox in that area so that the procerus weakens over time.  Often it will need filler as well, and that is where you can see significant improvement.

The line is due to chronic muscle contraction which would improve with Botox injection. This type of treatment will require long-term maintenance treatment every 3-4 months.

This is not an easy line to get rid of but it can be helped.     Botox treatments and then application of Juvederm Voluma can be of benefit.    Eventually you likely will need a brow lift but you should be able to delay that for a number of years.    My Best,     Dr C
