Baby hit my nose 6 days after rhinoplasty. Will compression with tape help it heal straighter? (Photo)

Question

My 9month old baby hit my nose 6days after surgery. It still had the cast on and splints inside. It didn't bleed but throbbed for ages. She hit my nose on the side where the surgeon did a graft to help straighten my nose. The cast and splints are off now and there is a slight bend and dip where she hit me. Possibly where she's made the graft be pushed in a bit or hit and made the swelling go in that area? Is it possible to use tape to help compress the nose back into the straighter position?

Hi !It is not uncommon to have this kind of question after nose job. Unfortunately, the answer to this question could not be clear. The earliest tome to get an answer could be after six months. I will also recommend consulting you operating surgeon. He knows what he had done and he can make a better comment by looking the final shape of your nose. I hope this helps youBest Wishes

Hi,At this point all what you want to do to make sure there is no internal damage to your nose such as septal haematoma for which you better consult your surgeon!!Taping may help with swelling but at this point going back to rectify it would very difficult!best wishesMr J Tahery ChesterUK

I recommend consulting you operating surgeon. He may choose one of several options which may or may not include going back to straighten the nasal bone and septum.
