Would Emsculpt help to tighten sagging skin on my stomach? (photos)

i am considering Emsculpt, i don't have much fat, but sagging skin on my stomach is very annoying, would Emsculpt help to tighten it up?if not, then what else could i do?

EMSculpt will tighten and build the underlying muscle, but it will not tighten the overlying skin. We have had excellent success using Halo to tighten the skin on the body. Hi igarbouz and thank you for your question!  While Emsculpt may result in some minor skin tightening, its primarily used to build muscle and reduce fat  - about 16% increase in muscle and 19% decrease in fat.  A great option for you to achieve the results you're looking for would be Radio Frequency skin tightening.  It not only tightens the skin but can also improve the appearance of cellulite.

EMSculpt is a non-invasive body contouring modality which uses HiFem to induce muscle contraction which results in muscle hypertrophy (toning) and secondarily fat burning. There are no skin tightening effects.With regards to your specific question, skin laxity can be addressed via excision (tummy tuck) or conversely minimally invasive modalities such as BodyTite which uses RF to heat the tissue and induce tightening.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MD

You have stretch marks of your abdomen which is best and definitely treated with near complete resolution with a tummy tuck. See a board certified plastic surgeon in consultation. Emsculpt would help tighten your muscles but will not eliminate your stretch marks. Good luck.

EmSculpt works on the muscles so with tighter/bigger muscles the skin redrapes differently. For skin tightening I like Lumenis NuEra Tight which is a radiofrequency device that stimulates all three aspects of the dermal components&mdash;collagen, elastin, and extracellular matrix polysaccharides like hyaluronic acid. It can be very effective in increasing the density of the dermis, which is the problem we are trying to combat. It improves the overall smoothness of the skin structure, thus improving the appearance of skin laxity and cellulite. 
EmTone is also a great option for tightening the skin and helping with laxity. It uses ultrasound and radiofrequency to help build collagen and elastin and tighten the skin.

Emsculpt is designed to strengthen muscles and melt fat. It will help to tighten the underlying muscles, but it will not help with the sagging skin. However, there are other radiofrequency heat treatments that can be done alongside Emsculpt that function to tighten the skin and enhance the effect.

Hi, 
This is an excellent question. I do think that one of the secondary improvements with emsculpt is in the quality of the skin. Poor skin tone on the belly especially if it seems to be aging quicker than the rest of your skin, is poor circulation especially after the tummy has been stretched out either from weight gain, or pregnancy. This can also occur post liposuction or tummy tuck. 
The quality of the skin improves probably from increase in circulation from the massive muscular contractions. 
However, this is not the primary improvement with emsculpt, which is muscle development and fat loss. My skin definitely got tighter from doing the emsculpt, so I can say from personal experience (I am 52 and post menopausal and have had 3 children last at 42) that it did for me and I do see this in my clients who are healthy and active. I however would not recommend this just for skin tightening as there are other ways to non invasively improve the skin tone. In your case, I would want to evaluate your individual situation to make a recommendation as to what would work best for you.

Great question I get asked quite a bit in my practice during Emsculpt consultations.
The answer is that it doesn’t. Emsculpt will help tone your abdominal muscles But wont do much, if any, skin tightening. For skin tightening, there are other non-surgical modalities such as Exilis, than can be combined with your Emsculpt treatment for optimal results.
