Hi, This is an excellent question. I do think that one of the secondary improvements with emsculpt is in the quality of the skin. Poor skin tone on the belly especially if it seems to be aging quicker than the rest of your skin, is poor circulation especially after the tummy has been stretched out either from weight gain, or pregnancy. This can also occur post liposuction or tummy tuck. The quality of the skin improves probably from increase in circulation from the massive muscular contractions. However, this is not the primary improvement with emsculpt, which is muscle development and fat loss. My skin definitely got tighter from doing the emsculpt, so I can say from personal experience (I am 52 and post menopausal and have had 3 children last at 42) that it did for me and I do see this in my clients who are healthy and active. I however would not recommend this just for skin tightening as there are other ways to non invasively improve the skin tone. In your case, I would want to evaluate your individual situation to make a recommendation as to what would work best for you. I hope this helps with your decision process, All the best, Dr. Jamé
