Would I have an Emsculpt interaction with metal in the body?

If you are innterested in Emsculpt to enhance or augment your buttock  then I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The results from Emsculpt for buttock enhancement are quite minuscule and likely not permanent.  The only relatively safe, reliable, and permanent option is buttock implants. Hope this helps save you some money and put you in the right direction.

Ferromagnetic metals are a problem. However, most medical implants today are made of non-ferrous materials. Generally speaking, if you can undergo MRI you can undergo EMSculpt safely.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MD

EMSculpt defines and sculpts. It does this by utilizing magnetic stimulation to cause muscular super contractions. It would not be an issue if you don't have any metal plates or implants in those areas. I would still confirm with your doctor to make sure.

Thank you for your question. The Emsculpt procedure should not be performed in patients with metalic implants.. People with pacemakers, electronic implants, or drug pumps are also not candidates at this time.

Thank you for your question. Typically the screws used for facial implants are titanium and not magnetized but this may depend on how long ago you had the implants placed. If you are safe to have an MRI you should be fine for Emsculpt. I hope this helps. - Dr. Leong
