Thank you for your question! There is not a contraindication for blood thinners and Emsculpt. You will want to discuss with your treatment provider any heath conditions and medications you are taking, but there is no reason you can not continue your anti-coagulant therapy and enjoy all the benefits of Emsculpt!
Hi Cam,You may continue taking your blood thinners and also enjoy the benefits of Emsculpt treatments. There is not a contra-indication for Emsculpt with patients who are on anti-coagulant therapy. Good luck and be well. Dr. PEncino, CA
I am not aware of any contraindications to EMSculpt therapy related to blood thinners.EMSculpt is a magnetic muscle stimulator which induces muscle contraction. Thus a contraindication to EMSculpt is to a certain extent a contraindication to exercise itself. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MDBoard Certified by the American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember: American Society for Aesthetic PlasticSurgery, American Society of Plastic SurgeonsRealSelf Top 100RealSelfHall of Fame
As far as I know, blood thinners are not a contraindication for EMSculpt. It's almost like saying that people on blood thinners can't exercise! I see no contraindication. EMSculpt is causing hypercontractions of your muscles and will build them and increase tone. On the abdomen, the protocol also causes some loss of the overlying fat layer. I see no reason to consider blood thinners as a contraindication.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Quintessa
That is untrue. It is not a contraindication. The only contraindications are implantable pacemakers and surgical clips that are close to the area of treatment.
There is not a contraindication with blood thinners and Emsculpt at this time. From the sound of it, you are free to Emsculpt! In general, we advise our patients to avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, like ibuprofen or naproxen, prior to treatments. This is due to the fact that these medications raise the chance of bruising in the treatment site. We make this recommendation to accommodate the cosmetic convenience of the patient, not as a health precaution. Emsculpt is not a health risk for patients who are on blood thinners. We advise that you share your full health profile with your provider to make sure you will be receiving a treatment that is safe and appropriate for you. Happy Sculpting!
Be prepared to discuss your medical history and what medications you're currently on. To minimize the chance of bruising, you might be told to avoid blood thinners and painkillers such as Ibuprofen or Aspirin a few days before you plan to have an Emsculpt treatment done. To date, there is no contraindications with blood thinners and Emsculpt.
Hi there,There is no absolute contraindication with Emsculpt and blood thinners. One may encounter a bit of muscle bruising from the impact of the paddles from the treatment applicator, but this will not impact the final result. I would recommend that if you are keen to tone your muscles and burn fat simultaneously to go for it. Hope this helps!Dr Vanessa Phua
EMSculpt helps achieve a toned and sculpted body. It is okay to do EMSculpt after TT. It might help deliver desired results. Consult a doctor to know more.
Yes, it should be totally fine. Titanium is a paramagnetic material that is not affected by the magnetic field. Consult a trusted practitioner in your area to know more about the procedure.
I'm sure if this was a problem people would not be prescribing the treatment. I have a feeling the people who developed this technology included fairly intelligent people with a medical background who may have thought of these things. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
