I am wondering if the EMFs might awaken cancer stem cells in the tissues and cause the cancer to come out of remission. The contraindications state “malignant tumor” but I am wondering if that means a history of malignant tumor or a current tumor.
Answer: Shouldn't matter I wouldn't EMSculpt over an active tumor, but having a past history of a cancer in another area should not be a problem. I think you will be happy with your result from the procedure. Good luck, Dr. T

Answer: Is EMSculpt safe if I've had breast cancer? I understand why they put the contraindication in their literature, but having a history of cancer in the past should not be a contraindication to getting an EMSculpt treatment. We have had the device for over a year and have been impressed with the results and the consistency in which patients show an improvement.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Quintessa

With the use of high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy, it targets your muscles to contract for up to 20,000 contractions in 30 minutes. EMSculpt is safe with cancer. It is 100% non-invasive. Answer: Is Emsculpt on the abdomen safe for someone with a history of breast cancer? Thank you, this is an excellent question. Emsculpt is contraindicated for someone with a current malignant tumor however, a history of cancer should not be a problem. I am not aware of any studies that show a positive link between EMF and cancer recurrence. That being said, all of our patients that have had the Emsculpt procedure are delighted with the results. I wish you the very best of health!
