I understand wrinkles around the nipples are normal with my gynecomastia procedure but should they look like this? (Photo)

Thank you for sharing your photographs and your questions with the forum, and I’m happy to feel you’ve been feeling better since your first procedure. 
I tell my gynecomastia patients to expect some normal inflammation and swelling for several weeks and months after their procedure. It will be several months (3-6) before you start to notice an appreciable, reliable postoperative result. In the meantime, compression garment compliance and following your doctor’s postop activity orders are of crucial importance. 
I recommend you meet with your Plastic Surgeon and share your questions. He or she will want to know your concerns and will be best suited to help you moving forward.

Thanks for your question! This is very normal - when excess skin is excised from around the areola, this 'puckering' occurs in response to the difference in edge area. This will resolve with time - check with your surgeon for their specific recommendations for post-op mitigation. Reassess at 6 months and be sure to wear your compression.Best of luck! 

Hi, It looks like you have had a skin excision around your nipple (areola). The wrinkles you see are known as puckering and are to be expected at this stage. They should settle down well with time and can take up to 6 months so no need to be alarmed at this stage.

The body is going to need time to heal before any judgement can be made on the results from the surgery.  I advise patients that it takes about 6 months before re-assessing. 
I recommend that you follow your surgical post care instructions.  Share with your doctor your concerns during your post operation appointments.  There are prescription scar creams that can be used, once that time has arrived, to help with any scarring from the surgery.
I know it is not easy but give your body some time.
