Ultherapy is designed to lift, tone and tighten loose skin on the brow, neck and under the chin and not intended to plump the area for volume. Some options to research would be Sculptra, Voluma, Perlane, Radiesse or Surgical Fat Grafting.
Ultherapy can tighten the skin and provide a natural lift, but will not necessarily plump the cheeks.
Ultherapy, which uses microfocused ultrasound energy for noninvasive skin lifting, does not add volume so it would not be expected to plump the cheeks. It can be combined with fillers such as Juvederm if that is what you want.
Ultherapy specifically targets sagging and loose skin mainly in the neck and jowl area. If you are looking to increase volume in your cheeks, you can look into the volumizer Sculptra or dermal fillers like Juvederm or Restylane. These are very effective in plumping the cheeks and filling out hollowed areas.
Ultherapy is a lifting device, not a plumping device. However lifting in the upper face can give the appearance of fuller cheeks by changing facial shape in a subtle way. Consult with your doctor about adding a long lasting filler to your Ultherapy treatment. We call this our "2-D Lift."
Ulthera works to lift the skin not fill it. If you are looking for plump cheeks a better option would be a filler such as Juvederm, Restylane, or Radiesse.
Ultherapy is not a volume filler like Radiesse, Juvederm, Restylane or fat injection. Ultherapy is for skin laxity (looseness) and the facial fillers are for volume loss with aging. Read the Ultherapy ebook provided on the link below.
If you had Ultherapy done to the forehead, then you should actually see some diminishing of the wrinkles since they are typically caused by muscle hyperactivity to hold up sagging brows. There is no reason I can think of why it would make wrinkles worse, but your doctor is in the best position...
Yes - we've treated patients with Ultherapy successfully that have MS and other conditions.
I commonly perform Ultherapy to the arms. There was a publication showing moderate improvement by both the treating physician and the patient's treated when Ultherapy was used to treat the upper arms. There is also another study that will soon be published where significant improvement was seen...
Results from Ultherapy take about 3 months to fully develop, and it is unlikely that your home use devices will have an adverse effect. Interesting to hear that your Palovia was more painful! I just had Ultherapy last week using the new settings and there was almost no discomfort.
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong...
