Is it worth dissolving filler in cheeks if asymmetrical?

Hi, I had juvederm voluma put in both my cheeks over month ago. One side I am happy with but the other I am not because… it is lopsided. My face is somewhat unsymmetrical (like most peoples) but it was never like this. I feel really unattractive and depressed about it. Is it safe to have it dissolved and start over or far safer just to wait until it has dissolved? If you believe it is safe to have it dissolved could you possibly recommend someone in the UK who could do this well? Many Thanks

Before you rush to have the filler dissolved you should consider getting another opinion from an experienced injector. You are right that most people have some degree of asymmetry to their faces, but with experienced injectors these asymmetries can be minimized. A little more filler precisely placed may help correct your asymmetry and make you feel better about your results. If this is not possible, then the filler can be safely dissolved with Hyaluronidase. Fillers can be used to reshape your asymmetrical shape, if you go to someone who is experienced.  My other suggestion is to have someone who uses cannulas for injection as this limits bruising and swelling and helps give a precise treatment.  If you are unhappy completely, i cant be reversed with an enzyme injection.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hyaluronic Acid can be safely dissolved with hyaluronidase. The best way to find someone is to start with a certified plastic surgeon and check his reputation. If you're not happy, you should definitely have it dissolved by a more skilled practitioner that can give you the result you want. The other option is to possibly put in more to even out your face. A qualified doctor will be able to help you.

Facial asymmetry is normal as no one left and right sides are mirror images.  I think you have two options:  The first option is to add filler to the side that needs more.  The second option is to dissolve the Voluma with hyaluronidase and start over.

You might just need someone skilled enough to make the bad side better with more filler or selective dissolution.  It is impossible to say to remove it all and start again without seeing you in person and with expression.
