Dear jazz_singh,You can place filler above and below that hump to make a more straight profileIt will make the nose look a little bigger, but more proportionateInjecting Botox into the columella (bridge of skin between nostrils) will help lift it a littleInjecting a little filler into the base of the nose might help lift it as wellBest,Dr. Nima
In theory you could have fillers above your hump, making the dorsum straighter. Unfortunately this would also create a bigger nose, and the angle between your forehead and the nose would be too flat and positioned too high. Botox can lift the tip, but only minimally. I would say you are a better candidate for a surgical rhinoplasty.
In our practice, we do not recommend nonsurgical rhinoplasty because the injections will only make the nose bigger, taller and wider on a temporary basis. In addition, it is not FDA approved for that application, and it is contraindicated to place fillers in the area between the eyebrows due to skin necrosis. A surgical rhinoplasty can accomplish shaving down the dorsal hump which is composed of both bone and cartilage, lifting the tip with the tip rhinoplasty, and preventing the tip from drooping when smiling by releasing the depressor septi ligament.
