Can I file down bridge on nose without surgery? (photos)

Question

I'm paranoid about hump on bridge of nose, and I also don't have a good sense of smell, is there a way to bring the nose down a little by extracting? I've seen photos before it looks like a needle is used, but can't remember the name.

Dorsal reduction can be done with a closed technique rhinoplasty with excellent results.  These is no visible scar with this approach

Non-surgical rhinoplasty usually refers to adding volume to areas of the nose that are depressed in relation to the other structures. If your nose has areas that are larger than the surrounding structures, then a reduction is required. Reduction of the bone or cartilages of the nose can only be done with surgery. Some surgeries are more extensive than others, but if your sense of smell is compromised, you may not have sufficient air flow to the roof of the nasal cavity to detect the aromas. Breathing difficulties need to be evaluated by an Otolaryngologist ( specialist in nasal airways) to see if there is a functional component that needs to be addressed as well. John Standefer MD

The dorsal home on the nose is composed of both bone and cartilage and it must be surgically shaved down in order to remove it. Once the hump has been removed, osteotomies are required to be placed in the nasal bones to close the open roof, flat top nasal deformity created from the hump removal. Remember, the nose is a three-dimensional structure and must look good from all angles, not just from the side profile. The tip of the nose may or may not require any minor adjustments to match the new bridge line.  A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish these goals under general anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure. Anticipate 2 weeks of bruising and swelling after the rhinoplasty.
