Should I massage these lumps out, leave them disappear or are they permanent?

So it's been approx 48 hours since my juvaderm injection of 0.5ml (in top lip only) and the swelling has reduced alot; My only concern now is the lumps more (prominent in one side) will they go or shall I massage them out? Thanks

Swelling and/or lumps can be typical. Icing, firm massage and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results, but this may be superficially placed filler. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

It may be helpful to gently massage the area that concerns you.  If left alone the lumps should soften over time, but massaging the area may help them smooth out faster.  If after two weeks you still have concerns, return to your injector for an evaluation.

It's okay to lightly massage them (but be aware this may cause more swelling). Over time the filler should integrate better with your own tissues. If you are having any bumps/lumps that are visible after 2 weeks, then follow up with your injector to re-evaluate. Best of luck!

It is not unusual to have lumps 48 hours after dermal filler injections.  It is okay to massage them gently. They should resolve over time.  If they are still present after 2 weeks you should call your provider to be re-evaluated.  If the lumps persist they can be smoothed with hyaluronidase.

I'm glad the swelling has gone down. If there is now little swelling you can massage the limps to help smooth them out, it needs gentle massage. It may be better to return to your Doctor earlier so that the lumps can be asses and they may be able to smooth them out at this stage. The lumps may also be due to localised bruising which will settle over time.

Since it's only been 48 hours, you can definitely finger roll massage your lips 6 times a day or so. This should help with the resolution. If it does not, I would return to the treating physician for a treatment using hyaluronidase. Give yourself approximately two weeks for the final result to become obvious.
