Allergies related to Juvederm are very rare. There is no way to guarantee you won't have an allergic reaction, but the risk is very low. Some Juvederm products have lidocaine mixed in for comfort during treatment. Be sure to mention to your injector if you have an allergy to lidocaine. Please note that swelling and bruising are common with lip injections and can last up to two weeks after treatment.
For fillers and HA the answer is no. The red flag is the Kiwi and latex cross reaction. Now, if you have a true allergy to Kiwi - you probably will have a cross reaction to the gloves your Specialist will be using. Flag your Kiwi hypersensitivity and your specialist will take action with different gloves and start the ball rolling for further investigations via a immunologist or patch- skin prick test with a medical dermatologist or allergist. Yes, you should be able to have general anesthesia 72 hours after lip fillers. Keep in mind, it can take up to 2 weeks for final results with lip fillers. Hope this helps.
Swelling and/or lumps can be typical. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results, but this may be superficially placed filler. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps!
