I recently had botox to correct a gummy smile. I was also injected above my top lip for the purpose of a lip flip and had some in my DAOs. I now have a joker type smile and I also look like the amazon logo with arrows either side of my smile. I was only injected at the side of my nose for gummy smile. I have seen others inject in 2 other areas for this along the cheek where my smile is high and wide. Was the wrong muscle for my particular gummy smile targeted?
Answer: Botox Thank you for your question. There are multiple muscles that go into making a smile. Using Botox you can target the larger muscles further laterally on the mouth to weaken those and help with the smile. Make sure to go to the an experienced plastic surgeon injector.

Answer: Difficult to answer but First and foremost, thank you for your photos. Without seeing a before photo it does make things a bit more difficult to assess, but I would say a few things: 1. things should soften up if a small dose of Botox was used rather fast (2-6 weeks). 2. Luckily your smile (although not your "normal" smile) looks pretty good! 3. You could always target another area, but the lower face is very sensitive to botox injections. I personally would let it return to normal as adding more has a risk of making things worse.
