Can touching your nose after rhinoplasty affect your results?

After a rhinoplasty, you want to be very careful with your nose. It is best to be gentle when cleaning your nose. You should avoid squeezing it or moving it while it is healing as the sutures and grafts used during a rhinoplasty are delicate. You should contact your surgeon for the changes you are noticing and have him or her evaluate you in person. 

It is generally not a good idea to manipulate to touch or squeeze your nose after rhinoplasty for at least several months.  Touching and squeezing could disrupt the sutures and techniques used for shaping your nose.  If you are noticing problems or asymmetries, I recommend you see your surgeon as soon as possible.

Normal mental pressure shouldn't affect your result. However, squeezing or pinching can totally disrupt the delicate structure of the tip cartilage as well as tiny sutures that hold the repair together.  Better see your surgeon about this one.  Good luck!
