Buccal fat removal does not change the way you age, unless way too much is removed. Buccal fat itself is fairly large and spans up to your temple and down to your jaw. Its purpose is to cushion important structures from muscle contraction. You don't actually want to remove too much or it may leave you with complications. With that, it can leave you with " gaunt" features. When only some of the fat is removed from a small cheek compartment, it helps to reduce facial fullness. When done correctly, it will not cause issues as you age.

Hello, hope you are well. The reason for buccal fat removal is to slim the lower face--in particular, the soft area of the cheeks just lateral to the corners of the mouth. I think you would be a suitable candidate for the procedure, but sometimes patients are under the false impression that this will slim their jawline too. Slimming the jawline itself is done by jaw contouring or masseter botox. As long as you understand the difference, you should feel comfortable moving ahead.

Hello! Buccal fat removal is a great option. The procedure is relatively easy and can be performed in clinic. The buccal fat volume is about the size of a walnut - so not huge. I've not heard of reports of looking gaunt in the future assuming your health and weight stay the same and the technique is done properly.
