My dad tested positive for covid and I'm having mild symptoms and my BBL is scheduled for the 5th of july. Can I still get it ?
Answer: COVID before BBL I recommend to talk to your plastic surgeon about you symptoms. There are already guidelines for patients testing positive to COVID that are looking getting an elective surgery. I’m sure He will give you the best recommendation to be safe.Good luck!

Answer: Can I get BBL few days after covid? It's scheduled for 5th July Hello @Fierce874181 thank you for your question. Protocols for covid vary depending on each doctor or practice I recommend to wait three months after having covid for elegible surgery, that way we ensure that the patient is fully heal and all his or her levels are optimal. This is a virus that we are still learning about so the measures change according to the new variants, what each state mandates. I suggest that you speak directly with your specialist for guidance. For more information and recommendations, it is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Covid 19 infection and elective surgery It is still a rule to have a negative Covid 19 test before undergoing elective (cosmetic) surgery. It would be in your best interest to contact your surgeon's office regarding their rules. The fact that your father is positive does not necessary means that you are infected as well. Good luck.

Answer: Preoperative protocol Dear Fierce874181, every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Answer: Getting Covid I suggest the first thing you do is get yourself tested. Also contact your plastic surgeon to let them know what your current status is and they will intern tell you what their policy is. Not informing healthcare providers of recently having had Covid or being exposed to Covid is inappropriate unethical and in some areas illegal. Hopefully you’ll be Covid free and if you do get it it will clear quickly but regardless you need to tell your doctor about it. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
