I am extremely thrilled with my tummy tuck so this is in no way a complaint. I am however, curious as to why my incision goes up in the middle. I've seen a few like this but not many and I'm wondering if there is an actual reason for it. It doesn't bother me because I don't wear really low clothes but I could see how it might bother some people. I've attached a photo as well as my before for reference.

Hi! You are asking for a reverse lipectomy. Where the skin remains attached in the lower abdomen and is cut in the upper. This would make sense in order to remove most of the stretch marks, but it would produce a very long scar under the chest.

The only truly effective treatment for loose abdominal skin is an abdominoplasty. RF and lasers may improve the skin somewhat but will not be as dramatic as surgery.
